Anti-Japanese Sentiment

These days, the main topic of media is anti-Japanese goods riot occcuring in China. The situation such as many peoples holding up banners written insistence, throwing stones at stores of Japanese companies and shouting out "we're against Japanese becoming a parmanent member of the United Nations Security Council" or "Japan must reconpemse histrical crime" is extensively broadcasted from morning to till night. In Beijing, windows of Japanese embassy was broken and in Shanghi some Japanese students were beated just because they are Japanese. If you don't know this incident, read some articles below.
http://mdn.mainichi.co.jp/news/archive/200504/09/20050409p2a00m0dm009000c.html
This is a article of a Japanese media. I tried to find articles from Chinese media, however, I couldn't. Instead of that, I found a article about History textbook approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (complecated!) from Chinese media. http://www.chinanews.cn/news/2004/2005-03-26/2836.shtml
When I discuss this incident with my Japanese friends, a friend said Japanese feel disgusted such riot in China and also in Korea. Because this kind of news are broadcasted in every season of the screening textbook.
I think there lies some gaps between Japan and China. First is a difference of amount of reports from media. Japanese media are reporting this incident taking a long time and using shocking images. On the other hand, it is said that Chinese media doesn't report this at all. If I talk this topic with Chinese friend, I may explain information of media from beginning to end. Second thing is a difference of historical understanding. Typical problems between Japan and China like Yasukuni Shrine or the Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands Dispute are caused by understanding gap between two countries, I think. Each country has each insistent based on own theory. We should persue a common ground. For that, we should continue exchange opinion calmly from objective point of view. However, I feel Japanese young peoples seems to be indifferent to this kind of matter as a friend who are disgusted with incident in China. When we are asked about not only present problems also its background, how many Japanese young people answer them and agree or disagree if we are insisted Chinese stance or opinions? This may be different subject but one of my friend studying in Korea regreted that she haven't studied Japanese history well. I heard that she cannot answer Korean student's opinion.
It seems that the more Japanese take vague correspondence, the more the anti-Japanese sentiment will increace because Japanese haven't got onto the stage for solution. At the same time "some" Chinese people should notice that riot never suitable way to attract Japanese attention.

50cc Riders

Now Tokyo is in a climax of the season of cherry blossoms. Temperature amounts 20℃, weather is fine without cloud, there is no reason not to go out and enjoy the beautifulness of national flower. Yesterday I and my friend decided to go. However, as it is apparentlly ordinary to go by train, we promised to get deperture point(Shinjuku) by 50cc motor bike.
It took about 1 and quarter hour from my home to Sinjuku. Unexpectedly easy to get. After met the friend, we go around downtown. Its very wonderful because I usually transfer the downtown area.

Contrast of pink and blue was unspeakably marverous. Posted by Hello

Coming up to Tokyo

I was waiting for a while at a bookstore in Sinjuku yesterday. The bus seemed to be stuck in traffic jam. A couple days ago, my grandfather unexpectedly gave me a phone call and asked me to take him to his sister living in Chofu.
Exactly one and half years ago, he visited Tokyo under the same situation and same reason. After I met him at the bus stop, as the time when I met him in Tokyo one and half years ago, we ate Sushi talking about current situation of each other.
His oldest sister (a grandaunt for me) have been bedridden for some years. When I asked him why you decide to visit her, he said he suddenly felt never to be able to see her again. To his surprise, although he started a conversation surely giving up not being talked by her, his sister shed tears while she haven't reacted what she were told.
At night, the voice of him behind cell phone was lively somehow.

Sleep Like A "Dull" Dog

I got up at 15:30 today. This is first time for me having slept until such late time. Last night I joined farewell party for senior of my study group. After "the party after the party", we had another party at karaoke room drinking too much alcohol. This kept on until 5:00 in the morning, unconciously I had slept for some hours.
Listening seniors edifying speech, I actually felt to become junior grade. I should live my short student time according more level-headed plan. To begin with, I drank to the extent not to throw up.

Scenery immediately after sunrise.

Reminiscences 2

On the third day of our travel, we started to Macao from Kowloon Peninsula. We took First Ferry which costs us 140HK$. To my surprise, I should through customs and show my passport. Actually, although Macau and Hong Kong was leased territory, Special Administrative Region government seems to be independent from mainland to some extent.
We three Japanese met a Macanese at the exit of the custome. He called out to make us take part in his tour. His Japanese was relatively good, looks honesty, the price which he suggested was even. We decided to go around with him eventually.
His name is Ao. He said he trained his Japanese by myself. Except for it, he can speak English and Putonghua. Now he studies Korean also by himself.
We went around every famous place in the island. Macao Tower, Penha Church, Ma kok Miu, the border, the Ruins of St-Paul's Largo do Senado and so on. Compared with Hongkong, its atmosphere was really peaceful. I felt it little bit similar to that of Malacca.
Finally the tour was prolonged on account of our free and easy sight seeing. He was enthusiastic from beginning to end and Japanese Joke he made played for laughs. I thought I should have paid much more money for his in spite of myself.

Wedding? This was a spot of commercial film. I'm attracted by the marriage at the place with a fine view.

Inspirable Things

Now, my family are in Tokyo. The reason is watching national tournament of volleyball in which my younger sister participate as a player of a high school. It's very difficult to take part in it and needs persistant effort. She also took part in it last year's tournament. But I couldn't watch it on account of studying abroad in Singapore. Therefore, all my family demand me to watch it.
I went to watch such sports game for the first time in many days. Eventually her team lost the game. But the atmosphere created by passion of players and supporters make me realize my high school days which I concentrate on playing soccer every day until late at night. Am I enthusiastic for aim not thinking of the consequences now? These days such inspirable things happens around me. Well, a team mate of high school soccer team achived one goal after having a long hard time for it. I'd like not to forget this kind of feeling.

Haruko (national tornament of volleyball at Yoyogi). I came to play sports a little.

Riminiscences 1

The price of Hong Kong is unexpectedly high. I went there expecting that the price is almost same as Beijing or Shanghi. But in fact it was 70% of the price in Japan concerning food and cloths (this is about goods sold in reliable store). In my original plan, I was going to visit Taiwan to get round-trip ticket in Hong Kong. But, I come to be short of cash, I couldn't achive that. I stayed last 5days in hostel located in the 15th floor (in HK, we count floor by British way) of Chungking Mansions (this is the stage of Chungking Express 邦題:恋する惑星) My room was domitory accommodeting 10 persons. Dirty and humid. One of the room mate said this hostel is the cheapest hostel in HK. Its room charge was 60 HK$ per day (1 HK$≒14 yen). During 5 days stay, I could meet many kind of back packers from all over the world.

From the window of the hostel. Four windows face each other. Each window reflects each life.
